🗓️ Itinerary Overview
Day 1: Arrival in Kigoma – Transfer to Gombe
Day 1: Arrival in Kigoma – Transfer to Gombe
Arrive at Kigoma Airport and transfer to the lake shore. Take a boat ride across Lake Tanganyika to reach Gombe. Check into your lodge and enjoy a forest walk or relax by the lake.
Overnight in Gombe.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking in Gombe Forest
After breakfast, set off into the forest with a park ranger to search for wild chimpanzees. Once found, you’ll spend up to one hour observing them. Enjoy lunch and visit Kakombe Waterfall in the afternoon.

Day 3: Second Chimpanzee Trek or Forest Exploration
Another chance to trek for chimpanzees or explore different forest trails. You may also visit Dr. Jane Goodall’s original feeding station and research sites.
Overnight in Gombe.
Day 4: Return to Kigoma – Departure
After breakfast, take a boat ride back to Kigoma. Transfer to the airport or hotel for your onward journey.
