The Itinerary
Arrive in Mwanza and enjoy a relaxed afternoon birding along Lake Victoria's shores. Spot African fish eagles, pygmy geese, cormorants, and weavers.
Overnight in Mwanza (Lakeside Lodge).
Full day boat and shore birding around Speke Gulf.
Drive into Grumeti Reserve area.
Riverine forest canopy birding along Grumeti River.
Transfer to Central Serengeti tracking savannah raptors.
Full day open plains secretary bird, bustard, and big cat tracking.
Highland drive to Ngorongoro crater rim lodge.
Full day inside Ngorongoro crater floor.
Lake Manyara alkaline lakeshore birding.
Morning birding drive and return transfer to Arusha for departure.
