Day by Day
The Itinerary
Arrive at Kigoma Airport and transfer to your hotel. Then, visit the Dr. Livingstone Museum and the local market. Enjoy dinner and overnight at your hotel.
Morning transfer to Kigoma port and embark on a scenic speedboat cruise along Lake Tanganyika to reach your luxury beachfront eco-lodge in Mahale.
Trek into the lush forest of Mahale Mountains with expert TANAPA trackers to find the habituated M-Group chimpanzees. Spend 1 hour observing chimp grooming, feeding, and play.
Second chimp trekking session exploring different forest trails. Afternoon leisure: swim in Lake Tanganyika, kayak along the shore, or relax on white sand beaches.
Farewell Mahale breakfast, boat transfer back across Lake Tanganyika to Kigoma town. Evening leisure at your Kigoma hotel.
Breakfast at hotel and private transfer to Kigoma Airport for your return flight to Arusha or Dar es Salaam.
