Day by Day
The Itinerary
Meet and greet at the airport, followed by transfer to your hotel for check-in, briefing, and overnight rest.
Overnight in Arusha.
Depart Arusha after breakfast for Tarangire National Park. Enjoy game drives among baobab trees and large herds of elephants. Overnight at Karatu/Tarangire lodge.
Drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area highlands into the Serengeti plains. Afternoon game drive tracking big cats.
Full day dedicated to following the Great Wildebeest Migration (location adjusted seasonally to Central or Northern Serengeti). Search for crocodile river crossings or predator chases.
Second full day in Serengeti to explore different kopjes, waterholes, and riverbanks. Optional sunrise hot air balloon flight.
Morning game drive in Serengeti, then head towards the Ngorongoro crater rim for sunset views and dinner.
Descend into the 600m caldera for a crater floor game drive. High chance to spot black rhino, lions, hippos, and hyenas. Overnight in Karatu.
Leisurely breakfast, scenic drive back to Arusha, shopping for Tanzanite/handicrafts, and airport drop-off for evening flight.
